Show and Tell Tuesday

This weekend my whole family went to Branson for a little vacation.
We had so much fun spending time together and exploring
Silver Dollar City.
It has been years since I have been there.
We had a blast!
At the end of the day, we were all so very tired,
especially my sweet nephew and niece.
Nothing more precious than a child snuggling with his papa.
I love those eyes!

Two years ago today....

Two years ago today,
I stood nervously in a beautiful church
waiting for my groom to turn around...
I was waiting for him to see me
for the first time in my wedding dress!
When he did, there were tears rolling down his face,
and time stood still for me.
I looked at the man I was about to marry
and thought I could not possibly love anyone
more than I loved him at that moment!

Two years ago today,
I stood by his side while we vowed
to love each other for the rest of our lives.
We vowed that no matter our circumstances,
no matter the cost,
we would cling to one another and serve God together.

Two years ago today,
we were prayed for by four dear pastors,
one amazing sister in Christ,
and many other family members and friends.
They prayed that our relationship would grow,
that we would follow Christ,
and that we would love each other more each day.

Two years ago today
I celebrated one of the most incredible days of my life
with lots of family and friend surrounding us.
Two years ago today we started a new endeavor,
and we didn't look back!

Today, I look at this amazing man I married,
the man who has given me everything for the past two years.
The man that has been by my side though everything.
The man who has worked full time,
taught a college class,
and took classes full time and still made time for me.
The man that has been with me as we looked for
and bought our first house together.
The man who trusted me enough to buy
the house I loved even when he couldn't "see" my vision for it.
The man who I tell all of my secrets too,
who knows me better than any other person on this earth.
The man that buried his grandpa just minutes
after we found out my grandpa had passed away.
The man who always knows what I need,
whether it's chocolate, or a foot rub,
or just a sweet kiss on the forehead,
he always seems to know exactly what I need in that moment.
The man that has held me when I've been sick,
who has loved me when I've been an emotional mess,
the man who has celebrated silly milestones,
the man who defends me, protects me and keeps me safe...

As I look at this man,
I can't believe that I could love him more today than I did yesterday,
but I do.
You see, some how,
this love I have for him just keep growing.

Matthew,
God sent me the most precious gift when he sent you to me.
I can't imagine my life without you.
Thank you for ALL that you do!
You are so very special to me!
Thank you for being by my side for the last two years.
I am looking forward to many, many more!
I love you!

Today is my amazing sister's birthday.
Since I can't be with you today Christi,
I thought I'd put together some of my favorite pictures of us together.....

Christi, Josiah, and I got to spend a week together at Disney world...
It was AMAZING

Thanks Chris for being the greatest sister in the world!
I love you so very much! You have always been such a great example
and role model for me. I know I have driven you crazy,
been a brat, and done things just to annoy you,
but you love me anyway, and for that, I am so very grateful.
God has given me a huge blessing in you!
Thank you for being my friend, partner in crime, and sister!
Thank you for all the laughter we have shared,
all the tears we have cried together,
and all the memories we have made.
My life would not be the same without you!
I wish I could be with you today...
But know I'm counting down the days till I see you next weekend!
