Mother's Day is Fast Approaching....

"A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie." ~Tenneva Jordan

How true... My mother is one of the most self-less people I know. I remember growing up and my mom never complaining about not having things... Many, many times, my mom went without so that we could have something instead. How many times did I watch my mom put on her make up as a child and wonder why she was using lipstick for blush? It was just what she did if she ran out and money was tight.
Not only did my mom do without material things, there were many nights she went without sleep so we could have clean laundry or because we were sick... Moms are amazing things!! Our God has blessed me with such an amazing mom!
As we near the holiday that celebrates these amazing people in our lives, I decided to share with you something that my mom and I both love!
My friend Amy has an amazing little business called Great Cakes Soapworks that she started back in 2004 and it just keeps growing. She makes soaps, lotion, sugar scrubs, lip butters... just to name a few! My mom loves her products, (Especially her homemade soaps) they make your skin so soft unlike other bar soaps! In honor of Mother's day, Amy has graciously agreed to do a special giveaway. That's right, we are giving away a special half size Almond Milk Soapcake and a matching lotion!

To enter the giveaway, please send me an email at Giveaway@TheTroutmans.net with the subject of giveaway. The deadline for entry will be Monday, May 5th at 11:59 pm. We will draw a winner Tuesday May 6th.

If you are interested in purchasing her products you can do so by visiting her website! Not only is Amy providing a giveaway, if you enter the voucher code "MomsDay" you can have 15% off of your total purchase now through May 11! I haven't tried anything that I haven't loved! So head on over and check it out...buy something for you, or for that amazing woman you call your mom! And don't forget to thank your mom for all she does!

You guys must be nearing your first anniversary. My husband and I are, too. Congratulations, and thanks for the very upbeat blog. Reading it was somehow uplifting!
