So my amazing husband had a great idea. As I was getting pictures ready to post, he said that instead of posting pictures from our vacation, I should put together a video so I could show you more. Isn't he smart? So, here is the video I made to show you all of the fun things we did on our most relaxing vacation!
Thanks Tom, Sally, & Tanner (Matt's "Ant", Uncle and Cousin) for being the most wonderful hosts! We had such great weekend with you!
The video is only about 4 minutes long so just sit back, relax and enjoy! Turn your volume up because I did include music... Charlie Dodrill is our new favorite artist! All of his songs are great, but this is one of my favorites! If you have time, check him out! I can almost guarantee it will music you can't live without!
Big Squirt decided that he wanted to learn to ice skate, so Mommy and Daddy signed him up. Tuesday was his first lesson. I had so much fun watching through the window! Notice he has is tongue sticking out in most of the pictures! He does that when he is concentrating. He did great! Can't wait to see what he learns next week!
Trying it out. He quickly gave up on using the glider and started going on his own
Bending down to pick up bean bags!
Listening to his teacher
* Some of the pictures look kinda crappy... its cause I was shooting through a window that had tape and fingerprints all over it! Maybe next week I'll take some windex!
I promise that we are still alive and kicking... actually we have been quite swamped!
I had the last week off, but didn't hardly have any free time! This is what my week consisted of:
My family came to town and we spent the day at the pumpkin patch, my mom was in town helping us get some stuff done on the house which was great! I'll have to post some updated picts soon. I also kept the triplets for a couple of days! They even got to stay the night with us! We had so much fun! I prepared for a baby shower where I made all the food for over 50 people, we spent 3 days in St. Louis with Matt's aunt, uncle, and cousin, helping build their church website, and had a baby shower the day after we got back!
Now I need a vacation...! Wait, that is what last week was supposed to be! I have lots of blog posts in the works! You'll just have to wait a little longer!
By the way, thanks Amanda for sticking with me even when I am "not as good at updating as Christi is)! :-)
Isn't this a lap full? We had so much fun together!
So my brother in law, Captain Jack, had this great idea for pictures to hang in their house. He wanted to take a picture of each family members bootie, wearing jeans, with something in their pocked that describes them. We worked on that this weekend along with some other things, and I think they turned out great! What do you think??????
I have had these pictures ready to upload and just haven't gotten it done... sorry it has taken so long! We got our countertops installed last thursday and have been thoroughly enjoying them! I love our new HUGE sink (I'll love it even more when we get the water hooked up...)! We are getting things done slowly but surely! I'll post more pictures soon!
Yep, that is me... doing dishes in the bathtub... Can I just say that I will be so glad to have a sink by the end of this week? I'm looking forward to the counter tops too, but I think I maybe looking forward to a kitchen sink more! I never realized how much I used my sink until I didn't have one! I'll update more soon! We made some progress today!!!!!!!
Thursday as I was leaving work, Matt called and said they were almost done with the floors in the kitchen and dining room... AND, they were getting ready to put my new stove in (THANK YOU STUART AND DEBBIE!) So I went to the store and got stuff to make dinner! The first cooked meal (unless you count hot pockets) in our new house! I was pumped! I got all my ingredients for chicken and shrimp stir fry and headed home. They were just getting ready to put the stove in when I arrived! What an exciting day!
The stove was finally in and I got out all of my ingredients to cook. About that time, the power went off! So, about 3 hours later I finally got to make dinner... While we waited, we got to meet some more of our neighbors... but that is another story!! Cooking on my new stove!
Matt cutting onions! Notice our lovely box countertops!
I have the most amazing in-laws in the world! Last Friday, they both took the day off of work, drove to our new house, and spent the day working here! They were such a big help!
They trimmed our bushes! And they look so much better than before!!!
There used to be some really big plants here that looked like weeds...
Now they are in the back yard!
Debbie mowed our lawn with or new lawn mower that they bought and went and picked up for us!
Our new kitchen light is attached to the ceiling!
Stuart took down the old ceiling fan in the dining room and installed the cool chandelier we found on clearance!
And Matt helped Stuart install our new thermostat! It was awfully comical to watch the two of them!
Not only did they get a lot of work done, they were on hand for the stone company to come out and measure for our new counter tops, and stuck around for the new dishwasher and stove to be delivered! Thank you guys!! You Rock!!!!!!!!!!
Hello to all of you who have been waiting for me to update you! We have been so busy I haven't had much time to update the blog! Thought I'd put up some new pictures of the house, but I realized that most of the pictures are still in the camera at home. So here is what I have with me! I'll update again soon!
Things are going well... we are slowly getting stuff accomplished! We still have quite a bit to do, but we are getting there!
The kitchen after we painted... getting ready to put the floors in!
Uncle Kyle working hard! He has been so amazing to help us! We would have never made it without him!
Matt's mom and dad bought us Jack Stack our first night in the house...
We don't have a floor in our dining room yet
so we set up the table in the garage!
The day we moved in I went to vacuum our bedroom before we moved stuff into it and the handle broke off! This is our new vacuum that I LOVE!!!!!!! It is amazing! Thanks Lisa for getting us such a good deal!
Some days I think I have the best job in the world!!!! We had a great time today with "Jessie" and her girls! We made Cookies!!! Ever made cookies with 4 kids, 3 of which are 4 or under? They did so great taking turns!
